The Summer School Reasoning Web 2010 is hosted by the Department of Computer Science of the Technical University of Dresden (TUD), Germany.
The courses are given on the university campus, in the ballroom "Dülfersaal". The address is Dülferstraße 1. The ballroom is located in the same building as the cafeteria, and it is close to the Department of Computer Science. Travel directions are provided below.
Dresden
Dresden is the capital and with about half a million inhabitants one of the major cities of Saxony, a federal state of Germany. Dresden is situated between Berlin and Prague just north of the border between Germany and the Czech Republic, in the valley of the Elbe river. Dresden is famous for its cultural and architectural wealth, much of which was reconstructed only recently after near-total destruction during World War II. Dresden's location adjacent to picturesque countrysides also attracts many visitors.
Hosting Institution
The Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) has its roots in the Royal Saxon Technical School that was founded in 1828. Today it is a university that unites the natural and engineering sciences with the humanities and social sciences, as well as medicine. This wide range of disciplines, which is unique in Germany, brings with it the obligation for the university to promote interdisciplinarity and to contribute to the integration of science and society.
